BANGALORE, INDIA:Hitachi Data Systems, a wholly owned subsidiary of Hitachi, Ltd. and the only provider of Services Oriented Storage Solutions, today announced the appointment of S. Pushkar as regional director for Western India.

He would be responsible for the company's overall business growth and would lead the Enterprise, Mid-Market and Channel teams in the western region, said a press release.

Pushkar would work closely with the Hitachi Alliance Partners such as Sun, Wipro,HCL, Apara and the Tier 2 Channel to implement a comprehensive market coverage strategy.

"We are delighted to have S. Pushkar on board. He will help developing and managing the channels business in Western India while delivering partner satisfaction along with driving revenue," said Natarajan Viswanathan, VP and managing director, Hitachi Data Systems, India.

He added that the western region is a huge market for Hitachi Data Systems and with Pushkar's appointment, we are reinforcing our focus on constantly delivering flexible and optimized storage for better TCO and efficiency across the finance and media industries in the region.

Prior to joining Hitachi, Pushkar has worked with Xerox, Netsol IBM, Opus, BEA, Microland in various cities like Vadodara, Bangalore, Chennai, Mumbai and Pune. He holds a degree in Commerce from M. S. University of Baroda, the release added.
