MphasiS appoints Ganesh Murthy as CFO

He would take over from Susanto Banerjee, who has been acting as interim CFO since January 2008

BANGALORE, INDIA: MphasiS, an IT service provider, today announced the appointment of Ganesh Murthy as chief financial officer.

Ganesh Murthy takes over from Susanto Banerjee, who has been acting as interim CFO since January 2008. His appointment would be effective from July 15, 2009, said a press release.

Ganesh Murthy has 23 years of experience working in finance across diverse industries like FMCG industry, consumer durable industry and IT industry, said a press release.

He has provided strategic leadership to business teams in the area of financial planning, direct and indirect taxes, cost optimization, legal and statutory compliance, travel, logistics and administrative activities.

Prior to this he was associated with HP as worldwide finance director of Global Delivery Application Services.

"I am delighted to have Ganesh Murthy on board. His diverse experience will be instrumental in helping MphasiS grow and differentiate itself in the marketplace." said Ganesh Ayyar, chief executive officer, MphasiS.

"I would like to thank Susanto Banerjee for his contribution in helping us run an efficient finance machinery." added Ayyar.
