COPENHAGEN, DENMARK: Wayport, a provider of converged network solutions to enable breakthrough network applications, has announced the acquisition of Finland's DNA WLAN network.

The acquired network consists mainly of hotels and congress centers, along with other venues like cafés and the Helsinki International Airport.

"We were quite confident about Wayport's capability of handling the delicate implementation process in a professional manner," says Tommy Olenius, CTO, DNA.

Wayport provides network services, technology and applications support to users at over 12,000 directly enabled and managed locations in 35 countries. It is also a partner for operators looking to improve the efficiency of their Wi-Fi operations.
