NEW DELHI, INDIA: Bharti Airtel Ltd, India's top mobile operator added 2.51 million subscribers in September, lower than the previous month's addition of 2.82 million users, data from an industry body showed on Monday.
No. 3 Vodafone Essar, controlled by Vodafone Plc added 1.97 million users in the month, lower than August's addition of 2.19 million, the Cellular Operators' Association of India (COAI) said in a statement.
Total additions by firms using GSM technology in September fell to 8.59 million from August's 9.75 million. The September figures do not include data from Reliance Communications, which publishes data separately.
