Such conferences should also discuss the necessity of spending thousands of crores of precious public money on time-irrelelevant prestige projects of physical nature such as Rajiv Gandhi Bandra-Worli Sea Link in the age of Information Technology, ironically named after the same youngest visionary Prime Minister of India who in spite of being an ex-Pilot quietly introduced what is called IT revolution in India by having one of his objectives as at least one public Telephone in every village of India? If we brag about our ability to out source work from other side of the planet to India, why do we want to have everybody from top to bottom to physically come to South Mumbai where all IT facilities are avialable instead of out sourcing work to far off places like Malad, Borivli or even Virar, Thane, Dombivli, Kalyan Bhiwandi et al. and thus save the trouble of lakhs of poor employees to waste four hours of their private time in crowded suburban trains hanging precariously and even with continuous multi-rake trains running between North and South Mumbai? just so that the affluent bosses in their imported cars can reach their offices in half an hour?
