NEW DELHI, INDIA: Micro Focus International plc, a provider in enterprise application software, today announced that it has completed the acquisition of the application testing / automated software quality business of Compuware Corporation.

Micro Focus said in a statement that the products within the Compuware testing and ASQ business are complementary to Micro Focus' core application management and modernization solutions, said a press release.

As part of its strategy review, the management of Micro Focus identified the ASQ market as a logically adjacent area to extend its application management footprint.

Micro Focus had earlier made it public that the Compuware testing and ASQ business would now be fully integrated into the Micro Focus Group.

Stephen Kelly, CEO of Micro Focus International, said "The acquisition of the Compuware Testing and ASQ business is a logical extension to our existing application management proposition, providing new addressable market opportunity.

He added that they see strong growth potential in this market. they have a successful track record of integrating businesses and we are well placed to deliver value from this acquisition.
