Mystery over 'Fake IPL Player' blogger deepens

BANGALORE, INDIA: He is there everywhere. He gossips and chats with the cricket players, he claims to be part of Kolkata Knight Riders, owned by actor Shah Rukh Khan. And he 'exposes' all the inner drama of the team via his blogpost at fakeiplplayer.blogspot.com. But who he is? Nobody knows.

Though the blogger had promised to reveal his identity very soon, he has not come public despite having thousands of fans following him.

The blog has over 6,200 followers, and still counting. Terming himself as mole of the Kolkata Knight Riders team, this mysterious blogger's posts reveal interesting scoops on what goes inside the dressing room, after-match social parties, their strategies etc.

Having a sharp tongue of criticism and witty language, the blogger's posts have got huge fan following with over a hundreds of comments per post.

The latest post criticizing the two lowest ranking teams of IPL, Kolkatta Knight Riders and Royal Challengers reads, "We play at the Centurion tomorrow. I can already see the Bevdaas (Royal Challengers) standing in queue salivating...no, not at the booze stupid... but at the prospect of playing the one team they can always hope to beat."

The hilarious nicknames such as Lordie for Ganguly, Dildo for Shah Rukh Khan, Gayle as 'Calypso King' have gained good popularity among the netizens who are part of the cult following the mysterious blogger.

People all over, right from the IPL teams till the sport fans are curious to know who this 'invisible' person might be.

Along with the posts, the blogger has put up a poll on weather he should come in lime light or not.

So far voting count for this poll has been 40,217, with majority of votes i.e over 64 per cent (26093 votes) asking him to stick to his word and reveal the identity.

There were rumours that Ranadeb Bose, who was asked to quit the Knight Riders team could be the witty know-all blogger.

On the other hand there are people who believe that team owner Shah Rukh khan or the ex-captain Ganguly could be behind the pranks.

Recently Khan had announced his decision about writing a blog on his own, giving regular updates about his team, but could not keep up with it due to his schedule.

Anyhow, with every passing day mystery is deepening and the curiosity is skyrocketing. And what is your take on the mysterious blogger? An insider's mischief, or an outsider's sting operation? Or is this just a gimmick by the Kight Rider team to gain popularity?

One, CIOL needs to hire proof readers - there is more than one spelling error in that article. Two, why would the KKR want to gain publicity by bad mouthing their own players?
