Subex launches Rocaware 2.0 for biz optimization

BANGALORE: Subex, a provider of operations and business support systems, today released a solution called Rocaware 2.0 for communications service providers to assist them with revenue protection and cost management and assured operations.

Rocaware is the solution platform enabling pragmatic evolution to a ROC (revenue operation center) that delivers Business Optimization in the most pragmatic and non disruptive manner, said a press release.

Rocaware 2.0 is a key component of the ROC - a concept the company pioneered almost three years ago.

“Business Optimization in CSPs is analogous to overhauling a Boeing 747 while in the air, and a critical requirement today. Given the complexity and real time nature of the telecommunications industry, we do not have the luxury of stopping the system while we upgrade and optimize it for what is to come,” said, Mark Nicholson, CTO, Subex Ltd.

He added that in addition, they also have to fund this optimization themselves via profitable operations.

Rocaware provides subscriber centric revenue, cost and margin visibility with a unique real time mechanism to study the financial impact of operational changes on profitability.

It enables CSPs to assure not just revenue, but operational processes as well. It creates direct link between operations and profitability by serving as a platform that seamlessly brings together traditionally disparate systems for assurance, audit, controls and governance, the release added.
