BANGALORE: Sybase, Inc., a provider in enterprise software and services, announced on Thursday the launch of Sybase IQ 15 in India.
This latest version of Sybase IQ is designed to deliver more accurate analyses and reports in a speed dramatically faster than its previous version to address the growing need of the business sector to make well-informed and critical business decisions based on real-time data, said a press release.
Sunil Jose, managing director, Sybase India and Sub-Continent said, “Like their global counterparts, Indian enterprises are increasingly investing theirIT budgets in critical applications like business analytics solutions so as to ensure agility.”
He further added that in particular, financial services, government and service sectors are increasing their adoption of business applications, hence driving up demand for such applications.
Jose added that with the launch of Sybase IQ 15, he expects the revenue of Sybase Software (India) Private Limited (“Sybase India”) from Business Intelligence Solutions to contribute as much as 50 per cent of their total revenue by the next couple of years.
Nowadays, corporate decision makers need applications which can help them to analyze large volumes of data, executes queries with a high degree of complexity and gives answers to critical business questions.
Analytical workloads are increasing in terms of the number of users, the amount of information for analysis and the complexity of the questions being asked.
Old Business Intelligence Solutions can no longer support these requirements, said the release.
“Over the past year, as the need for greater insight into enterprise-wide operations has increased and the awareness of the benefits of business analytics has grown, most organizations' related technology requirements have continued to evolve,” said Dan Vesset, program vice president, IDC's business analytics research.
He added that the features and functionality added to this release of Sybase IQ are likely to find a receptive audience among organizations turning to evidence-based decision making.
