NEW DELHI, INDIA: Tata Communications, a Tata Group company and a provider in communications solutions, on Thursday announced its association with five-city Frost & Sullivan series of summit conferences on the realization of the managed services journey using multiprotocol label switching (MPLS) services.
Co-sponsored with Cisco the summit demonstrates the flexibility of MPLS services for delivering voice and data over highly secure virtual private networks (VPN), said a press release.
Executives considering MPLS VPN managed services are encouraged to attend any of the five events for demonstrations, discussion, and presentations on the benefits of adopting an MPLS infrastructure for WAN connectivity.
Frost & Sullivan would present a detailed framework on the total cost of ownership (TCO) of managed MPLS networks, said the release.
The presentation would feature a TCO calculator for MPLS adoption, including metrics on applications, branch office requirements, and bandwidth expansion.
"Although most companies are aware of MPLS, many are not aware of the full potential and cost-savings such services can provide enterprises," said Girish Trivedi, deputy director, ICT Practice, Frost & Sullivan, South Asia and Middle East.
He further said that this presentation and discussion will show how companies can dynamically show TCO benefits of MPLS when introducing various network variables and requirements.
Cisco would demonstrate how MPLS VPN service is more truly private than IPSec VPNs, and how MPLS single-site administration can cut management time and reduce security risks over traditional VPN implementations.
Tata Communications would provide the latest information on how enterprises can realize better productivity through a converged network and a higher level of business continuity by using MPLS VPN, added the release.
