MUMBAI, INDIA: Anoop Agarwal, the employee allegedly responsible for a $4 million fraud at Wipro, is believed to have committed suicide, Bloomberg UTV reported today.
Agarwal ended life, as Wipro's audit committee was to meet today to discuss the fallout from the fraud, it added.
Agarwal had been working with the company for the past three years in the ‘controllership’ division within the finance department, which has been disbanded following the fraud.
Earlier there were reports that Wipro would not file a formal complaint against the employee, whose identity was not revealed, in the Rs. 18 crore ($4 million) fraud.
