BEIJING, CHINA: With the strategy to bring transformation in the working style of the consumers by coming up with innovative technology and simultaneously adapting green technology in the products intended to express concern for the environment, HP has launched a new series of mini notebooks, desktops and work station in Beijing, the capital city of China.

The products would be available in the Indian market within a month. HP has launched Mini 110, HP Pavilion MS 200, HP dx2810 Special Edition PC and HP t5730w Thin Client alternative desktop PC.

"With the change in technology and bringing transformation in the designs, consumers are now changing their life style. People are looking at innovative design that reflects their personality," remarked See Chein Teik, senior vice president, Personal Systems Group, HP Asia Pacific and Japan while unveiling the products.

"With these products HP is also contributing to save the environment through its green concept. For example, there are alternatives to business computing such as server-based computing and cloud computing that are gaining exposure in the market," he pointed out.

Emphasizing on the Thin Client, Teik commented that the newly launched products are easy to manage, have long life cycle, and their running cost is also low.

Driven by Web 2.0, that reflects the transformation from social media to cloud services, HP is promoting client services, he added.

"Increasingly digital lifestyles and micro-segmentation of consumers and their needs will not be addressed by a single capable device with multi-functions, but by many of these multi-functional devices that an end-user will come to expect to complement their needs and usage scenarios."

According to Teik, equally important will be the question of how socially responsible and environment-friendly are the brand and the device.

"This universal truth applies to lifestyle consumers and also to businesses seeking better business outcomes from their technology decisions. We believe we are well poised to deliver and meet these needs and provide meaningful solutions to our customers," he added.
